Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Maybe you know this better as “missions”, either way, we at DFUMC believe that true Christianity happens beyond our local congregations. We share the great news of Jesus Christ while relating to the needs of the total person – spiritual, physical, emotional, & social. Our Global Outreach Ministry exists to inspire, equip, & mobilize people and resources around the world to help become fully devoted followers of Christ.

There are several key elements in this purpose:

…inspire, equip, and mobilize people

We believe God is calling all people to mission & ministry in the world & that it takes many different forms. Our role is to help people discover what that means for them, become better equipped to fulfill their calling, & partner with them as they live it out.

…deploy resources

We recognize that we are a blessed congregation in regards to resources, including people, facilities, & finances, We further understand that part of our purpose is to share those resources in the places where God leads.

…around the world

We embrace Christ’s call to be His witness “in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria & to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8. For us, that is the Dalton/Whitfield community, the United States, & the rest of the world.
Mission Focus:
We support many ministries here and around the world. In order to become laser focused in our missional impact;
God has called DFUMC to raise up Christian leaders in Nicaragua and to help with racial reconciliation with Arab and Israeli Christians in Israel. God has also called us to minister to prisoners and their families, while locally calling us to help families in crisis, and love on our local schools.
