Dr. Robin L. Lindsey,
Senior Pastor
 
 
I was born April 10, 1953, in Cave Spring, GA, and am the son of Shelton and Sibyle Lindsey. I have a brother, Gary who is an electrical engineer and lives in Virginia. I grew up in the Cave Spring UMC. I graduated Cave Spring High School in 1971 as Valedictorian.
 
On June 16, 1973 I married the former Kathy Anne Freeman of Cave Spring. Kathy is a retired elementary school teacher. We have two sons, Christopher (born May 3, 1978), who is a graduate of Kennesaw State College and a City of Marietta Police Detective; and Jonathan (born May 18, 1981), who is a graduate of Chattahoochee Tech in Marietta and works for McKesson Pharmaceuticals. I graduated in 1975 from Emory College of Emory University, magna cum laude with a BA in Religion. In 1978, He graduated with a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology of Emory University, cum laude. I completed my Doctor of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL in 1989. I have served as Minister of Youth at the Clarkston UMC in Clarkston, GA (1973-1978), Pastor of the Flowery Branch UMC (1978-1982), Pastor of the Mossy Creek-Bethel UMCes in Cleveland, GA (1983-1987), Pastor of the First UMC of Greensboro, GA (1987-1990), Pastor of the First UMC of Eatonton, GA (1990-1999), and Senior Pastor of McEachern Memorial UMC in Powder Springs, GA (1999-2007). I served the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Order of Elders, a member of the Conference Board of Ministry, a member of the Council on Finance and Administration (Chair of Sub-committee on Interpretation), member of the Evangelism Committee, and the Superintendent of the Athens-Elberton District in the North Georgia Conference (2007-2009), and now Senior Pastor of Dalton First United Methodist Church..
 
 
 

 

Associate Pastor
 
I was born in Jackson, MS, I received the Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, completed the classroom portion of the Doctor of Ministry program in the Beeson Pastor Program at Asbury,  and haved served churches in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Georgia.  I am passionate about evangelism and discipleship, especially in small group environments. I have been married to Jenifer, for 20 years and we have three children, Sam, Meredith,  and Caroline .  I am an avid Bulldog fan (Mississippi State, that is), love woodworking, golf, tennis, and, most of all, spending time with my family.
